Our Harry Potter Wedding – Favours & Seating

In addition to all of the candy for our guests, part of our favours included their seating tags and custom made candles. We made candles that had the double happiness logo, a custom at every Chinese Wedding. I had edited the logo with the Phoniex and Dragon, also symbols to Chinese Weddings. On the other side was a quote from Albus Dumbledore, “Happiness can be found Even in the darkest of times If one only remembers to Turn on the light.” Our keys for the adults (which is also a bottle opener) were laid around a Whomping Willow while the kids had key necklaces that hung off the branches. These had their names and table number for them to find their way and unlock their seats. These candles and enchanted keys were a hit with all of our guests. Can you believe we didn’t keep a necklace or candle to ourselves? Don’t worry though, I’ve made a candle with the same Harry Potter quote for Robert as a gift a while back… Doesn’t have our wedding date info on it but that’s okay! We can always order some more necklaces. We actually didn’t even have enough necklaces ordered as we had way more kids come than we had anticipated; but we Love them all and are happy everyone who was there, was!

Our Harry Potter Themed Wedding – Honeydukes

One of our party favours to appease guests of all ages included a Honeydukes themed candy bar (quite a few young-ins at our magical party)! Just kidding, the candy bar was mostly for us; we both have a sweet tooth! We had made custom labels for most of our candy with creative little names and themed signs. We also made a nice centrepiece sign and little take out containers that sported the Honeydukes Logo on one side and our names on the other. Robert made 200 of these boxes! I worked diligently on the designs and labels…

Our Harry Potter Themed Wedding – Sneak Peek & Centrepieces

Our blog was created so we could share all of our wedding surprises with everyone. We couldn’t post prior to our wedding as it was all a surprise! We had a romantic February 14 Harry Potter Themed Wedding! It was not so much in your face for those who don’t know Harry Potter could still enjoy and for those who did would have appreciated all of the special  little details we had incorporated. We did have amazing help from other vendors as well but most of this was all done by us. I’d love to share everything we have done but for now, I will share a few photos of the wedding (Floating Candles, Kissing Game, and our unbreakable vow ring box) and all of our centrepieces that my amazing Husband help create. This is the best way for me to relive the day… I never want it to end… Wish my Time Turner would work in this muggle world or owned a pensieve so I could revisit the everlasting memories…. Enjoy the photos, we’ll have more blogs to come!
